DRAFT
For everyone who plays, owns or works with bows

Every bow has a story to tell, a legacy that can live for generations.

Do you know your bows’ history?

Take part in the survey

Take part in the survey

Choose the route that best describes you. The survey itself remains separate from the optional Document Days contact registration below.

Why your answers matter

The survey is anonymous, and your participation matters. By taking part, you can help the music community support conservation and restoration efforts in Brazil, promote the legal and responsible use of Pernambuco, and contribute constructively to the dialogue with Brazil and within CITES. Together, we can help shape a traceable, secure and sustainable future for Pernambuco and music traditions.

Before you start

If you are taking the Individuals survey, please have any existing documents for your Pernambuco bows at hand, such as invoices or purchase records, certificates or appraisals, insurance records, or declarations of materials. You can pause the survey at any time and continue it later.

At the end of the survey, please return to this page for further information and Alliance Document Days.

Alliance Document Days 2027

Alliance Document Days are intended to document bow materials and provide an approximate age assessment. They are not certificates of authenticity and do not include an appraisal of value. A completed Document of Bow Materials is issued for a fee of US $50 per bow. The fee helps support Pernambuco conservation. Leave your contact details if you would like to receive information about the Alliance Document Days 2027. This registration is voluntary and is kept separate from your survey responses.
